Street, Passion, Love
Straßenfotografie hat für mich nicht nur mit Bildern zu tun. Es ist dass sich fallen lassen in einer unbekannten Großstadt. Die Alltagssorgen zu Hause lassen und der Entspannung viel Raum zum entfalten geben. Sich treiben lassen umgeben von andersartigen Eindrücken von Menschen, Gerüchen, Sprache, Kleidung und Architektur. Das alleine sein und der ständige Dialog mit sich selbst, wer bin ich und warum tue ich das? Die Offenheit für Menschen, Kontakten und neuen Freundschaften.
Das sind die Zutaten die ich brauche um Herz und Augen zu öffnen um die Momente festzuhalten die ich meinen gewohnten Alltag sonst nicht sehen würde.
Weder Marketingstrategie, rationales handeln oder Irgendein „Camera Brand“ könnte diesen Zustand erzeugen oder reproduzieren. Diese Fotos hier sind eine kleine Auswahl von meinem Trip nach Madrid im Juli 2022.
Streetfotografie ist für mich eine sehr persönliche Reise über Leben, Menschen, Liebe, Frieden und Kunst.

Streetphotography von Menschen für Menschen
Vor ziemlich genau zwei Jahren erhielt ich eine Nachricht von meinem Freund Andre aus Weimar. Sein Freund Marco arbeitet dort in einem Pflegeheim für Bühnenkünstler. Einzigartig in Deutschland und gegründet von einer damals sehr berühmten Schauspielerin.
Ihr Name war Marie Seebach
Eine letzte Residenz für Bühnenkünstler. Ich war sofort Feuer und Flamme. Aber warum eigentlich?
Ich hatte schon lange mal den Wunsch mit meiner Ausstellung hier aus dem Ruhrgebiet heraus zu kommen. Hamburg, Berlin, München davon träumte ich. Hamburg war eine Enttäuschung. Daran war aber allein Corona schuld. Denn das Hotel in dem ich meine Fotos Ende Oktober 2020 aufgehängt hatte musste nach zwei Wochen schließen wegen des Lockdown. Kaum jemand in Hamburg bekam die Ausstellung zu sehen.
Meine Bilder sind nicht für die breite Masse. Sie sprechen eine sehr sensible Sprache. Im raschen verpasst man meine Intention.
Es ist alles andere als plakativ oder fast food. Weimar ist eine Kulturhochburg. Und ich stellte mir vor wie die alten Menschen die in diesem Haus besucht werden von ihren Künstlerfreunden und Angehörigen. Menschen die vielleicht eine ganz andere Affinität zu dem haben was ich aussagen möchte. Außerdem ist es immer ein Abenteuer in einer entfernten Region neue Menschen anzustecken.
Wie dem auch sei seit einer Woche hängen 27 großformatige Bilder dort in diesem geschichtsträchtigen alten Haus.
Die Ausstellung beinhaltet einen kompletten Audio Guide. Über QR-Code kann der Besucher dem Künstler persönlich zu hören.
Ich erzähle die Hintergrundgeschichte des Fotos und meine Intention. Man erfährt auch sehr viel über mich selbst.
Bei der Eröffnung habe ich einen Vortrag für die alten Menschen gehalten. Anschließend wurde ich mit Herzlichkeit überschüttet. Eine wunderbare Erfahrung. Die Ausstellung ist momentan noch nicht für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. Ich hoffe dass sich das in Kürze ändert.
In diesem Post möchte ich ein paar Impressionen von der Eröffnung zeigen.

A modern audioguide
I have been making permanent exhibitions with my photography for years now. Many people have passed by my pictures so far. They mostly hang in hospitals or public areas. 
The visitors try to read my pictures. But I am not sure if my message always gets through. I am also not always on site to answer questions. At least once during an exhibition I offer a guided tour. People can ask me about the pictures and I tell them the story of how they came into being.
The story behind the photos is told by the artist himself.
This picture here is a good example that raises many questions. With this photo I am almost always asked if the scene is set. I had now developed the idea to stick a QR code next to the pictures. You can scan it with your smartphone and it will lead to an audio file. There you hear the artist himself telling the story about the picture. A modern audio guide. Currently I show the photos in two exhibitions. In the Marien-Hospital Witten (ground floor vascular surgery/cardiology) and in the Johannes Hospital Dortmund (central emergency room)

Everything is enlightened
I always wanted to take a photo-reportage of a concert. I had pictures in my head of stars like David Bowie when he put on his make-up in the dressing room in front of a mirror. Catching intimate moments of musicians and crew, photographed through my special street glasses. In April 2019 I had the chance to do it.
Andreas Krüger is the founder of the vinyl label clostridiumrecords. He started in 2010 and his 50th vinyl record is coming up this year. He's been my colleague and friend for over 15 years. We work together in an intensive care unit. Andi is my „partner in crime“, during the time his record label grew up my street photography has evolved. Andreas is one of the few people in my life to whom I can entrust everything. He is carrying the heart at the right place. We always had a lot of conversations. A REAL friend ❤️
On April 13, 2019, Andi organized his first labelnight in the Pauluschurch in Dortmund. A rock festival with four bands. And I'm allowed to accompany the festival with my camera.I had the great pleasure to meet the lighting master Peter Petersen. He is a specialist in analog lighting. His skills combined with the music and interior of the church were a perfect symbiosis.
A very nice guy and I was very impressed of his lightshow. Everything was enlightened in a beautiful psychedelic retro style. Describing with words is not enough here. You have to have see it.
It was not my personal taste of music. But I loved the feeling and the spirit. A very nice experience overall. And I met many new friends. Hope to meet you again sometime. Thank you for having me
